This fair, started in 2002, is to promote
and encourage the animation industry, which is held by an executive committee
organized by Tokyo Metropolitan Government and companies and groups related to
animation. It is an international exhibition of animation, exhibitors include
various domestic and overseas companies including content distribution firms such
as animation production companies, television stations, filmmakers and video sales
firms, as well as companies manufacturing and selling character goods such as
toys and stationary.
In this fair, we will have exhibitions for buyers, competitions for filmmakers,
symposiums, stage shows and special exhibitions. The number of visitors increases
year by year, at last year, over 70,000 people visited this fair in four days.
The coming “Tokyo International Anime Fair 2005” will be held with content
and scale greater than ever before. All of the executive committee members are
waiting for the presence of many family, animated fans as to the exhibition and
of the people in the trade of animation business.
