TOKYO INTERNATIONAL ANIME FAIR 2005 / COMPETITION /

03 / 25 / 2005 up!!

Approximately 180 professionals including the Executive Committee, directors and scriptwriters will make their selection from commercial animation entries broadcasted, released or purchased in Japan within the past year.

<Animation of the Year>
Of the entries listed in each category, one entry determined to have contributed to the animation industry the most during the year will be selected and awarded as being the representative animation of this year.

<Notable Entry Award>
Three entries from the Television Category, two from the Theatre Movie Category, two from the Original Video Category and one from the Overseas Category will be awarded a Notable Entry Award.

<Individual Award>
An Individual related to animation production within the year will be selected for each Direction, Screenplay, Arts, Character Design, Voice Actor and Music Award.

Professionals including producers and editors will vote for the winners from domestic and overseas film entries.

<Grand Prize for Open Entries>
Awards the most superior entry among all open entries.

<General Category>
Three best entries will be awarded from works created by those who do not fall under the Student Category mentioned below.

<Student Category>
Three best entries will be awarded from works created by students who are currently enrolled in specialized animation schools, high schools or universities.
However, graduation works created by students who graduated in the previous year will be recognized as belonging to this category.
*Works that have been created by students who graduated in March 2004 and have not been altered after graduation are eligible for entry in this category.

<Special Category Prize>
Entries deserving commendation will be awarded.

<Company Award>
Presented by respective corporations.
