The 9th Creator's World - The Leading Creators of the Next Generation

The "Creator's World" held at the Tokyo International Anime Fair promotes the leading creators of the next generation and supports their career to help them succeed in the major field. It offers business opportunities to highly talented creators including the anime award winners and young creators actively at work in the animation industry.

Through the past Creator's World held eight times so far, in which a total of eighty-nine individuals/groups of creators participated, they were able to extend their business acquaintance with buyers, productions and anime-related companies from Japan and abroad.

In the ninth Creator's World this year, a total of eight creators are participating for the first time, who have been enthusiastically engaged in their production and activities.

At the booths, each creator will put his/her works on the screen and exhibit projects.

Turn your attention at any cost to the "Creator's World" where creators themselves will conduct presentations and propose their abundant and multifarious contents.

■Profile:
Represented by:  Tatsuki Omoto
Tatsuki Omoto, the representative.  Born in Kyoto and resides in Tokyo.  After graduating from the Kyoto University of Art and Design in 2007, got involved in the production of animations at Sunrise Ogikubo Studio.
Started irodori while at college aiming to create continuous original animations.  Currently five extremely enthusiastic creators are at work.  Since each member is engaged in his own work such as animations, games and background arts, we work on our productions in our spare moments.
We think that "our work is valuable only when people have fun watching it," so we keep uploading our works to the video sharing website.  Of all our works uploaded, the "glasses" which we renewed twelve times had an access of over 100,000 times, and was well received also at such events like the Indies Anime Festa and DoGA CG Anime Contest.  We also make each of our works available on DVD for sales.
■Contents of Exhibits:
We will exhibit our previous works and the latest one as well as the settings, storyboards and production tools behind the finished works.
We will also give a demonstration of animations! … perhaps.
■PR Comments:
- We love to create stories and characters.
- We love to express using cells by mixing 3D with 2D.
- We have production techniques on a commercial basis as well as passion for individual production.
- We are omnivorous creators full of curiosity and are willing to work at any tasks with delight.
- Each member has been growing at all times through the work in the respective field.
- We love to talk about creating things.

The planning of my commercial works.
■PR Comment:
I try to create a warmth of hand-drawn in my works. However to achieve the possible finest quality I have used not only pencil and paper but also 3DCG. These are carefully merged together in a same 'hand-drawn' stylisation.

happyproject is a design company based in Fukuoka, mainly engaged in TVCM, CG parts of motion pictures and character design. In spare moments from our work, we make original animations and characters and release them on our website and You Tube to expand our sphere of activity!
■Contents of Exhibits:
The original animations, "Fruity Samurai," "Baban ga Panda" and "Dokkan Bunny" as well as the actual result of our work and original characters will be exhibited.
■PR Comment:
We are a group skillfully handling TVCM and CG parts of motion pictures' VFX and animations as well as the planning and production of CG animations.  We release the original contents irregularly, just like bringing our own handmade lunch, by adding an amusing story to a peculiar character drawn by Kiminori Tanoue, the representative of the group.  Taking this opportunity of exhibiting our works, we hope to extend the field of our work as a character contents maker.

Our latest work will be presented, and the original animation plan will be exhibited.
■PR Comment:
We have an operation system taking advantage from the merits of both "individual production" and "team production." Each member individually has a work such as illustration, comics, DTP design, Web design, production of transforming toy models and lecturering at a vocational school, and when working as a team, each takes charge of a field of one's specialty. We suit our manner of production, handwriting and 3D, efficiently and effectively at all times in order to maintain both the quality of our work and our labor saving efforts.

■Main Technique:  Puppet Animation / 2D

■Profile:
Born in 1986 in Tokyo.
Started to create video works since I was so attracted to the charms of the fantastic unique technique that was unchanged since olden times, such as the method employed by Karel Zeman and Czech animations.
Learned a filming technique mainly using 16mm films as I took the filming course in the cinema department of the Nihon University College of Art.  After graduating from the University and working at a printing company, became a freelance from October 2010.
While working as an art staff for CM and also in the field of formative arts for exhibits, I aim to work as a stop motion animator.

- The 12th Tateshina Kogen Film Festival in memory of Yasujiro Ozu "The 8th Short Film Festival": Grand prix
- The 3rd Kamakura Film Festival: Excellent Prize
- Tokyo International Anime Fair 2010 / The 9th Tokyo Anime Award: Open Entries, Selected Prize
■Contents of Exhibits:
I will exhibit the scenic set of a street of houses and puppets, which you feel that you have seen somewhere and somehow recall with nostalgia.
Also, my previous film works and new animation will be screened, and performance of stop motion animation will be shown.
I will be happy if you could enjoy experiencing the slightly mysterious and interesting world of stop motion animations.
■PR Comment:
I value the special effect technique unchanged from the olden times, and with a nostalgic feeling that you find in your recollections and memories as a theme, I produce works from which you can feel the lights and air.
I am capable of dealing with various requests including production of puppets/stuffed toys and miniature sets, animation filming (including digital single lens reflex and 16mm film camera), lighting, animator and illustration.

The stories are developed in vivid colors and a unique style of conversation with an original view of the world.  The pictures are composed making free use of a comics-like style and text.
Light novels, Boys love and Sekai-kei – you feel a"pain"just because you are young.
To sum up, my works are keeping up with the present day.
