About the application of Open Entries

Tokyo International Anime Fair Executive Committee (Chairman is Shintaro Ishihara, governor of Tokyo) will invite applications of 11th Tokyo Anime Awards Competition from all of people for Tokyo International Anime Fair 2012 which will be held on March 22(Thu) to 25(Sun), 2012

 

How to Apply?

Application and Submission Period

Application Period: October 11(Tue), 2011 to November 30(Tue), 2011.
*Please note that the application will be accepted on-line only. Submitting is required by posting.

Awards and Additional Prizes

Grand Prize: 1film A certificate of merit and a trophy
(additional prize of 1,000,000 JPY)
General Category / Notable Entry: 2 films A certificate of merit and a shield
(additional prize of 300,000 JPY)
Student Category / Notable Entry: 2 films A certificate of merit and a shield
(additional prize of 300,000 JPY)
Special Awards: 1 film A certificate of merit and a shield
(additional prize of 300,000 JPY)
Business Award: Multiple Presented by respective corporations (certificate of merit, etc.)
*Depending on the contents, it could happen that there are no winners for some awards.

Application Requirements

(1)Eligibility

Applicants of all nationalities, age, gender, as well as individuals or groups (including corporations) are eligible to enter the competition.
Professional and amateurs are also eligible for entry.

(2)Number of Entries

Each work may be entered once only in the competition.
Works that have previously been submitted to the competition will not be accepted.

(3)Copyright

The work and the materials used in the work, including audio materials, must be limited to those for which the applicant holds the copyright.

Application Categories

(1)General category

Applicants who do not fall under the student category should enter this category.

(2)Student category

Students currently enrolled in technical animation schools, high schools or universities should enter under this category.
However, works made before the applicant’s graduation in March 2011 should be entered under this category.
Please note, however, that such works must remain in the same condition as when they were presented for graduation.

Terms and Conditions

Works previously televised or broadcast, or sold as original videos for commercial purpose will not be accepted.
